The Summit brought together healthcare leaders, educators, and regulators to support the integration of internationally educated health professionals into Canada’s workforce. Participants explored practical solutions for licensure, employment, and healthcare system integration.

The Annual IEHPs Summit supported internationally educated health professionals (IEHPs) transitioning into the Canadian healthcare workforce.

The 2025 summit focused on licensure, mentorship, and workforce integration through collaboration with community partners.

This pre-conference session supported refugee and internationally educated healthcare professionals (IEHPs) through mentorship, collaboration, and career integration in Canada.

The discussion covered bridging programs, IEHP-focused language training, exam and integration support, employment resources, and mentorship for Francophone IEHPs in Montréal. Collaborating organizations included ISANS, PCPI, OCISO, and CREMCV.

Matched residents shared advice and strategies for IMGs applying through the CaRMS and ERAS residency systems. Participants gained insights into applications, observerships, licensing exams, and improving their chances of matching in Canada or the U.S.

A free OSLT session for internationally educated health professionals focused on improving healthcare communication skills, including active listening, trust-building, and handling difficult conversations.

The session also provided guidance on OSLT program eligibility and language training support available through Niagara College Canada.

An insightful mentorship session for internationally educated healthcare professionals focused on alternative healthcare careers, licensure support roles, career development pathways, and interactive guidance from industry expert Mihai Csaki, MD (non-practising), MCATD.

Launched the Francophone chapter of the IEHP project to support internationally educated healthcare professionals through mentorship, networking, and integration opportunities in Canada.

The event also highlighted resources for French-speaking and bilingual IEHPs, including the CarriElles Santé initiative presented by SÉO, while encouraging attendees to join the network as mentors, mentees, and supporters.

The Internationally Trained Health Professionals (ITHP) Bridging Program information session introduced internationally educated professionals to Canadian healthcare education, practical skills, career pathways, and employment supports. It also highlighted specialized streams including Long-Term Care, Health Research, Data Analytics, and Health Administration.

PEGASUS Institute hosted an IEHPs mentorship session for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) exploring pathways to licensure and clinical practice in Canada through the Practice Readiness Assessment (PRA) process, presented by Dr. Manal Badi.

The session provided guidance on PRA eligibility, physicianapply.ca registration, MCC examinations, provincial program differences, documentation requirements, and practical strategies for success.

This hybrid seminar and job fair supports Internationally Educated Health Professionals (IEHPs) in Canada through guidance, networking, and career resources, including licensure pathways and alternative career opportunities.

This webinar was successfully held and featured expert insights on healthcare workforce integration, clinical research, and human resources in healthcare for internationally educated health professionals. Speakers included Irina Edilova from Ontario Health, Andre Williams from York University School of Continuing Studies, and Paolo Varias from Niagara Region Human Resources in Healthcare.

This webinar focused on supporting internationally educated health professionals (IEHPs) through mentorship, collaborative learning, peer networking, and credential recognition guidance. It also explored financial support options to help cover licensing exams, professional fees, and other career-related expenses in Canada.

The “Strategies for Success in CaRMS” webinar was held successfully, featuring accomplished speakers Nida Fatima and Randa Yosef, who both matched to Family Medicine at Western University. They shared insights and strategies that contributed to their success.

The Networking for Success event is the first of the IEHP Mentorship Series, offering Internationally Educated Health Professionals in Canada a chance to connect with experienced mentors and build relationships that can advance their careers.
