Alberta : Clinical Assistant

(AHS) Alberta Health Services provides alternative job opportunities, as Clinical Assistants ( CA) , for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who are not able to obtain independent licensure and/or are unable to obtain a residency position.

A Pre-Screening Process Eligibility Requirements:

1. Eligibility to Work in Canada

Applicants must be able to legally work in Canada (e.g., Canadian citizens, permanent residentsand individuals with open work permits).

2. English Language Proficiency

3. Medical Degree

4. Medical School Transcripts

5. Postgraduate Medical Education

6. Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination Part I

7. Currency of Practice

Applicants must provide evidence of being in discipline-specific postgraduate training or discipline-specific independent practice within the last three years. Please submit a resume

Upon successful application, a pre-screen letter will be issued which will indicate that the individual has met all the requirements necessary to apply for any AHS CA positions.
