Jurisprudence, criminal-record screening, and suitability requirements vary by province, territory, nursing category, and application type. Some regulators require a jurisprudence examination or course, while others assess this knowledge through a different registration process. Follow only the instructions provided by your regulator.

Order police checks only when your regulator instructs you, and submit them exactly as the regulator requires. Many checks expire, and some must be sent directly to the regulator or completed through an approved vendor.

Create a single folder (digital + printed) for:

• Passport/ID + immigration documents (if required for your province)

• Name change documents (if applicable)

• All regulator emails/portal messages

• Test results proof (language, exams)

• Employer letters/practice history evidence (if requested)
