Apply to the Regulator
What this step means?
This is the formal application to your provincial/territorial regulator. It creates your file, checklist, deadlines, and fee schedule. Even if you used NNAS or an ECA provider, you still must apply directly to the regulator.
What you will usually do in this step?
-
Create your online account (regulator portal)
-
Choose your category and application stream
-
Pay application fees
-
Submit identity documents and declarations
-
Upload/submit requested documents and track your checklist until your file is complete.
Ontario example (when you can start)
CNO explains that registration can begin after your educational credentials are validated by an approved ECA provider, and the provider sends the verified credentials to CNO. Click Here
