Explore the Licensing Pathways in Canada - Short Roadmap

    1. Determine province or territory (and language requirements) where wish to practice as a midwife.
    2. Complete approved midwifery bridging program or orientation and assessment program.
    3. Complete Canadian Midwifery Regulators Council (CMRC) national midwifery examination, called the Canadian Midwifery Registration Exam (CMRE).
    4. Register with midwifery regulatory body as midwife in province or territory.
    5. Secure work as midwife (this step may need to happen before 4).
